Robert A. Christensen, Pres. Fram Lodge-Sons of Norway, Freehold New York. The lodge meets the 1st Sunday of the month at the Freehold Firehouse, 2:30pm.
For the forth year in a row, a United Nations study says
Norway is the best place in the world to live. The U.N. Human Development index
measures standards of living around the world, and it ranks Norway Number 1.
Norway's top spot reflects its high average income ($36,000 USD) small
population (4.5 million) long life expectancy (79 years) and nearly universal
school enrollment (98 percent.) Norway is the world's third largest exporter of
crude oil, and Western Europe's most important source of natural gas. More than
90 percent of its people use cellular phones and wireless connections.
Norwegian cell phone users can even watch TV on their cell phones.
